Pimedas on see kõik trikk. Ja keegi ei tea. Oleme hetkes, hetkedes. Meie silmad heidavad pilgu, ajame teid naerma, oleme provokatiivsed, tantsime, joome. Teeskleme, et meil on lõbus. Murrame omaenda südameid. Ja me teeme seda ikka ja jälle. Michelle Gurevichi laulu Party Girl sõnade taustal esitlevad Tammoja ja Cox kaasaegseid ehteid, mis kujutavad, eitavad, defineerivad ja moonutavad kujutluspilte, mida me endast naistena kanname: meie haavatavusest, tugevustest, hirmudest ja soovidest - tõelised või kujutletud. Sellest tüdrukust, keda sa võid tunda, kes sa võid olla. Pilvi Tammoja (s.1991) on Eestist pärit interdistsiplinaarne kunstnik, kes elab Tallinnas. Tal on moedisaini bakalaureusekraad ja ehtekunsti magistrikraad, mis annab talle ainulaadse arusaama vormidest ja kehast, mille tulemuseks on mitmekesised tööd, mis on valmistatud pidevalt muutuvatest materjalidest alates siidniidist kuni malmini. Ta on eksponeerinud oma töid grupinäitustel ja moeetendustel. Kujundanud vaateaknaid ning fotolavastusi, disaininud ja valmistanud rekvisiite. Erinn M. Cox (s.1976) on Ameerika Ühendriikidest pärit ehtekunstnik, kes on hetkel omandamas doktorikraadi Ühendkuningriigis. Tal on BFA ja MFA kraad skulptuuris ning magistrikraad ehtekunstis. Erinn on oma töid eksponeerinud USA-s ning mujal maailmas. Tema tööd on valitud näitustele: Schmuck 2018 ja 2020, SOFA CHICAGO, 21grammise rändnäitus, NYCJW 2022. Ta pälvis Galerie Marzee Graduate Prize'i ja Wallpaper* Magazine nimetas ta tulevaseks disainitäheks. Samuti on Erinn USA kaunite kunstide ja kunstiajaloo dotsent ning Eesti Kunstiakadeemia külalisõppejõud. Ta on avaldanud artikleid kaasaegse kunsti, disaini, ehete ja filosoofia teemadel ning on veebiajakirja Louise & Maurice (www.louiseandmaurice.com) asutaja ja autor. In the dark, it's all a trick. And nobody knows. We are in the moment, in the moments. Our eyes throw a glance, we make you laugh, we are provocative, we dance, we drink. We pretend to have fun. We break our own hearts. And we do it again and again. Compelled by lyrics from the song Party Girl by Michelle Gurevich, Tammoja and Cox present contemporary jewellery pieces that depict, deny, define, and distort the images we hold of ourselves as women: of our vulnerabilities, of our strengths, of our fears and our desires — real or imagined. Of that girl: who you may know, who you might also be. Pilvi Tammoja is an interdisciplinary artist from Estonia based in Tallinn. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in fashion design and is currently completing her Master’s degree in Jewellery which provides her a unique understanding of forms and the body, resulting in diverse works made with an ever-changing range of materials from silk thread to cast iron. She has exhibited her work in group exhibitions and fashion shows; and has also worked on window displays, photo set designs and prop design & fabrication. Erinn M. Cox is a jewellery artist from the United States currently pursuing a PhD in the UK. She holds BFA and MFA degrees in sculpture (US) and a MA degree in Jewellery (EE). Erinn has exhibited her work in the US and internationally, highlighted by her selection for Schmuck 2018 & 2020, SOFA CHICAGO, the 21grams touring exhibition, and NYCJW 2022. She was awarded the Galerie Marzee Graduate Prize and named an upcoming design star by Wallpaper* Magazine. Erinn is an adjunct professor of Fine Arts and Art History in the US and a guest lecturer at the Estonian Academy of Arts. She is a published author on topics related to contemporary art + design, jewellery, and philosophy and is the founder and writer for the online journal Louise & Maurice (www.louiseandmaurice.com)
